Naast B2B zal ik de komende periode Elsevier ondersteunen bij het verhogen van de online verkoop. In het segment Government & Medical ligt een grote uitdaging in het verhogen de afzet van abonnementen op de online distributie van specifieke content; journals en Ebooks.Naast een driecte operationele inzet ter verhoging van het online rendement wordt er ook een strategische roadmap geformuleerd. Onderstaande de omschrijving van de opdracht.

E-marketing opdracht Elsevier

Within the Elsevier S&T organisation, the A&G Sales and Customer Marketing team is responsible for selling electronic products such as ScienceDirect and Scopus to academic and government institutions. The new Customer Engagement & Development team is responsible for marketing to these segments, and more specifically for building (online) marketing relationships with our smaller academic and government customers worldwide. To this purpose we’re building an e-commerce environment that facilitates relations and transactions with new and existing institutional customers.

Key result areas:

  • Establishing B2B customer engagement utilizing E-Commerce capabilities within a subscription based market place
  • Accelerate sales growth by aligning marketing activities with sales requirements
  • Plan, initiate and execute effective inbound and outbound marketing: awareness, lead generation, usage driving, relationship marketing
  • Support the e-commerce team in achieving revenue targets, and contribute to building marketing capabilities for this channel
  • Target new customers to increase penetration in specific segments
  • Develop innovative marketing methods with a focus on online customer interactions
  • Measure and improve marketing effectiveness
  • Generate and analyse customer information to support segmentation and targeting
  • Involve internal stakeholders for global roll-out of campaigns, translate global marketing concepts into region-specific campaigns
  • Manage marketing budget
